Macedonia’s January Business of the Month: Wholly Frijoles

Macedonia’s January Business of the Month: Wholly Frijoles

Feb 3, 2026 | Chamber News

Mayor Nick Molnar is excited to kick off the return of Macedonia’s Business of the Month program in 2026 by recognizing Wholly Frijoles Mexican Street Food as the January Business of the Month. A proud Nordonia Hills Chamber of Commerce member, Wholly Frijoles is a local success story that continues to strengthen our business community.

What started as a single food truck has grown into three brick-and-mortar locations, including one right here in Macedonia at 9828 Valley View Road.

Mayor Molnar recently spoke with Wholly Frijoles owner Juan Gonzalez to talk about the restaurant’s journey and what makes it special. From day one, the focus has been on authentic, fresh Mexican street food, with everything made from scratch in-house. The menu features customer favorites like burritos, quesadillas, and rich, flavorful birria, along with seasonal highlights such as Mexican street corn made with locally sourced ingredients. (And yes — the Mayor highly recommends the chicken quesadilla paired with a classic Mexican Coke.)

Tucked in the Center Pointe Plaza in Macedonia, Wholly Frijoles offers fast-casual dining with both indoor seating and a summer patio. Guests can also enjoy margaritas made with quality tequila, weekly Taco Tuesday specials with a dollar off tacos, and convenient online ordering directly on their website for pickup or delivery.

Wholly Frijoles is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Through the Business of the Month program, the City of Macedonia is proud to recognize outstanding local businesses that contribute to the vibrancy of our community. We encourage Chamber members, residents, and visitors alike to stop by Wholly Frijoles and experience one of Macedonia’s true hidden gems.
