A Cappella Style Singing Competition
Promises Cash Awards To The Best in Each Age Class
The March 10 auditions have been cancelled. We are still looking for singers for our competition, but now the contestants will compete the day of the expo on March 24. The deadline for applications has also been extended to a date that will be announced soon.
The first annual “Nordonia Sings” singing competition will be held on March 24th at Nordonia Hills High School. This will be one of the several aspects if the Nordonia Hills Chamber Expo. There will be 5 singing categories based on age. Each category will participate in a preliminary competition on March 10th from 2pm to 4pm at Northfield Village Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation (10267 Northfield road). Specific times will be assigned to participants based on final registration numbers. Categories are: Youth (6 & under), Tween (7 through 12), Teen (13-17), Young Adult (18-34) and Adult (35 & up). Cash prizes will be awarded to final winners in each category.
The “Nordonia Sings” singing competition is designed to encourage and inspire those with great singing abilities to have an opportunity to sing and use their gift. This competition is designed to build confidence, excitement and opportunity. This is the chance to perform in front of a crowd in addition to excellent exposure that could catapult you into your dream! This event is part of the Nordonia Hills Chamber Expo. A portion of the proceeds benefit The Ray Kujawinski and Nancy Fike Memorial Scholarships.
Songs must be under 2 ½ minutes and performed a cappella.
All registrations and registration fees must be received no later than Wednesday, March 7th.
Contestant will be able to choose his or her own song choices, no genre is required.
Contestants will be judged by a 4 person judging system.
