Support Local Businesses

We know this year has been different than anyone could have expected. Our businesses – large and small – have been affected by COVID-19 and we are all facing unprecedented challenges on a daily basis. Our businesses are the heartbeat of the Nordonia Hills, and it is our mission to help.

With less than two months left in the year, we still have plenty of time to prove our resilience and generate excitement for supporting Nordonia Hills’ businesses. We are excited to announce our “Keep the Cheer Here” campaign designed to help everyone #ShopNordoniaHills.

From November 15 through December 15, “Keep the Cheer Here” will promote participating Nordonia Hills businesses as well as a Deal of the Day. These deals will be featured on the Nordonia Hills Chamber of Commerce Instagram: @NordoniaHillsChamberofCommerce, as well as the Nordonia Hills Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.. Our goal is help identify creative ways to shop our local businesses while remaining cognizant of the current pandemic environment. Just in case you are wondering why supporting our local businesses matters, here are some extra benefits of your shopping ventures:

  • When dollars are spent with local businesses, that money strengthens those organizations and helps stabilize the jobs they’ve created.
  • Those businesses and their employees in turn are better able to support local charities with their time and money.
  • Spending with independent, local businesses also allows business owners and their employees to provide for their families – ballet, piano, or karate lessons; soccer, little league, or cheer; back-to-school clothes or that first car.

Aug. 6, 2020
Good morning Expo vendors and supporters –
The Nordonia Hills Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Nordonia Schools Superintendent Dr. Joe Clark have announced that this year’s Expo 2020, scheduled for Sept. 27, 2020, will not take place as planned due to the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and the risks to public health of a large-scale gathering such as this annual event. The health and welfare of the community and our businesses is our primary concern.

We do have a date for Expo 2021 – March 6, 2021! If you registered for the March 2020 Expo, you’re already set for Expo 2021!  We’re still planning on having “The Greatest Expo on Earth”. Vendors, sponsors, supporters – ALL IN!  Depending on the date you registered, we’ve been promoting you online, here on our web site and social media since Oct. 16, 2019!!!!!  That will be over a full year of the community and fellow businesses seeing your name in print, sponsor links shared and “shout outs” on social media.
As you probably know, I’m working from home now, one day a week in the office.  But please email me if you need me.  I’m still working to promote your business, day in and day out.

In this time of social distance and masks, please remember that YOU are the most important part of the equation.
